We can’t believe it’s already been one year at Le VENERÉ.

When we first envisioned this venue, we dreamed of creating something unlike anything else in the Twin Cities — a space that felt immersive from the moment guests stepped inside. We wanted couples and their loved ones to feel transported, not just into a venue, but invited into an experience. Inspired by old-world European romance and the energy of a modern speakeasy, Le VENERÉ was designed to feel intimate, elevated, moody, and unforgettable. Every detail was chosen with intention — from the layered textures and warm lighting to the hidden-luxury feeling that makes the space feel both grand and deeply personal.

Launching a brand-new venue is always a mix of excitement, anticipation, and a little bit of uncertainty. Before the first event, before the room was filled with music and candlelight, before couples walked down the aisle, there was a vision. And over this past year, that vision has become something even more meaningful than we could have imagined.

The making of Le VENERÉ was a true labor of love. From the earliest construction stages to the final design details, every step of the process was guided by the desire to create a venue that felt layered, romantic, and completely transportive. The inspiration pulled from 1920s France, moody cocktail lounges, intimate European interiors, and the kind of timeless spaces that feel like they held a story. Every design choice was made to build that feeling, the warm lighting, the rich finishes, the intimate layout, and of course, the gorgeous velvet green banquettes in the lounge. They instantly bring depth and a sense of old-world glamour to the space, creating the perfect place for guests to settle in, sip a cocktail, and feel completely immersed in the atmosphere of the venue. As part of the award-winning legacy behind venues like A’BULAE, the Van Dusen Mansion, Bavaria Downs, and more, Le VENERÉ gave us the opportunity to push our creativity even further. It was a chance to dream boldly, design intentionally, and bring a completely new kind of event experience to life. The construction journey was full of transformation, from renderings and plans to walls, finishes, lighting, and all the details that slowly shaped the atmosphere of the venue. Seeing the before and after of the space still feels surreal. What began as an idea became a place where people now gather, celebrate, and create some of the most meaningful memories of their lives.

Before the final reveal, there were couples who believed in Le VENERÉ before they could fully see it. They trusted the renderings, the plans, the vision boards, and the promise of what this space would become. During construction, that trust meant everything. These couples didn’t just book a venue, they became part of the story of bringing it to life. To every couple who chose Le VENERÉ before the doors officially opened: thank you. Your belief in the vision helped make this first year possible. You gave this space its beginning, and that will always be such a meaningful part of our story.

On May 3, Le VENERÉ hosted its very first wedding, and it could not have been a more beautiful beginning.

Allison and Jerry Duckworth celebrated on a gorgeous spring day, with the kind of energy and joy that made the entire venue feel alive. The weather was beautiful, the atmosphere was full of excitement, and from the very beginning of the day, it felt like the perfect first chapter for Le VENERÉ. Jerry brought so much personality and energy to the celebration, and Allison’s walk down the aisle became one of those unforgettable moments that stays with you. Their first look happened at the aisle, surrounded by their closest family and friends, making the ceremony feel emotional and deeply personal. What made the day even more special was the way Allison, Jerry, and their guests embraced every part of the venue. From the ceremony to the cocktail lounge, from the bar to the reception space, the entire celebration flowed beautifully. Seeing Le VENERÉ filled with laughter, music, conversation, and people celebrating together was the moment the venue truly came to life. After months of dreaming, designing, building, and planning, that first wedding reminded us exactly why this space was created.

Over the past year, Le VENERÉ has been transformed again and again by the incredible couples, planners, designers, florists, musicians, and creative partners who have brought their visions into the space. Every wedding has felt different. Every event has added a new layer to the story of the venue. We’ve seen candlelit receptions that made the ballroom glow. Floral installations that softened and transformed the space. Live music that filled the room with energy. Lounge styling that made cocktail hour feel effortlessly chic. Intimate ceremonies that reminded us how powerful a beautifully designed space can feel when it’s filled with emotion. That is one of the most special things about Le VENERÉ. The venue has such a distinct atmosphere on its own, but it also leaves room for each couple’s story to shine. Every design choice, every floral palette, every table setting, and every celebration has shown us a new way this space can come to life. And with every event, we continue to feel inspired by what future weddings can become here.

Every part of the venue was thoughtfully designed to feel connected, intimate, and immersive, allowing the day to unfold naturally while still feeling elevated at every turn. There is a certain feeling that makes Le VENERÉ different. It is transportive without feeling overwhelming. Luxurious without feeling distant. Dramatic while still feeling warm and personal. It is a place for candlelit conversations, emotional ceremonies, unforgettable entrances, champagne toasts, packed dance floors, and quiet moments tucked between the biggest parts of the day. More than anything, Le VENERÉ was created to hold stories. And after one year, it has already held so many beautiful ones.

One year later, we are filled with so much gratitude. Gratitude for the couples who trusted us with their celebrations. Gratitude for the planners, designers, florists, photographers, videographers, musicians, caterers, and vendor teams who brought so much creativity and care into the space. Gratitude for every guest who walked through the doors and helped make Le VENERÉ feel alive. This first year has been full of unforgettable moments, beautiful transformations, and celebrations that reminded us why we do what we do. Le VENERÉ began as a vision for something different — something immersive, romantic, intimate, and elevated. One year later, it has become a place where stories are told, memories are made, and events feel truly transportive.
